Many companies’ “offices” grew exponentially when people started working from home.

Those same companies now have to manage their IT infrastructures while also addressing requirements for security, compliance, procurement and employee experience. That’s where Oomnitza comes in.

The San Francisco-based company’s platform secures and manages a corporation’s digital estate–end-user hardware, SaaS, networking infrastructure, virtual cloud services, retail devices, health care machines, etc.–that they utilize, Arthur Lozinski, co-founder and CEO told Crunchbase News.

More than 130 enterprise and Fortune 500 customers across a range of industries are using Oomnitza’s platform to secure, operate and oversee their IT.

To accelerate growth, the company completed a Series B institutional funding round of $12.5 million, led by Shasta Ventures and Riverside Acceleration Capital. Oomnitza previously raised funds back in 2015, a Series A round of $2.4 million. With the new funding, the company has raised just under $15 million since its inception in 2014.

After raising the Series A, Oomnitza’s focus was on collaborating with top organizations. Some of the digitalization trends we are seeing have been accelerated by the now asynchronous work environments, Lozinski said.

Those asynchronous work environments are now driving companies to inquire about Oomnitza’s services. As a result, the new funding will be used to meet the demand.

“The bigger the organization, the bigger the problem is,” Lozinski said. “Now, because of those digitalization trends, we are excited to bring our tools to the rest of the world. We are seeing fantastic growth because of it.”

Oomnitza was growing prior to the work-from-home transition, but that has since accelerated growth. The company has 28 employees, and “will be hiring a lot this year,” Lozinski added.

Moving forward, the company is focused on providing value to customers and continuing to provide additional tools that are forward-thinking.

“Many of our customers were well-situated to manage this asynchronous work situation, where they care about the employee experience,” he said. “It is a new paradigm for IT teams.”
